Dana 44 brake kit

I got a replacement dana 44 going in place of my drum 10 bolt. Does anyone know of a bolt in brake kit for everything? Will everything from a 10 bolt disc fit? Need mounts, backing plates, ect. I'd like to fit in the stock 16 inch wheels
Thanks

Re: Dana 44 brake kit

Post a photo of the flanges.

Ideally, the 10-bolt PBR system will go on, somehow. It's not hard to find those, specifically on 93-97 Camaro/Firebird V8 cars. For that matter the 98-02 system might even bolt up.

If you're thinking about the crappy 82-88 Saginaw crap disc brakes, you're probably better off driving around with no rear brakes whatsoever... less dead weight that way.

Re: Dana 44 brake kit

Been there done that.. Swap out the caliper backing/mounting plates.. That is all that needs to be done in order to bolt up 93-97 calipers and rotors on it. Just sold a complete set up With my old Dana 44 rear, You will need to replace axle bearings and seals to do this. I still have an extra set of the correct retro- fit backing plates. PM me if you are interested in them. Stock wheels will fit great the PBR calipers actually work Like Sofa said the the Saginaw brakes are junk

Re: Dana 44 brake kit

I put a d44 in place of the factory 10bolt in my 92 formula a couple of yrs ago, I don't remember modifying the backing plates at all.

Yup that looks an awful lot like the 10-bolt flange...
