Wrong hydroboost?

After searching every 1.5 ton and Astro van in my local LKQ and not finding a single Hydro Boost I finally came across and auto salvage company that said they could get their hands on one for me. I asked for an early 2000's seeing as I thought that's what I needed and ended up getting (I think) a hydroboost from the 2005. This brake booster has the angled mounting plate on it which will not fit with the old bracket off of the old brake booster. If I remember correctly I've heard of people removing this plate and fabricating their own and replacing it with the flat piece that will mount onto the old bracket. Is this the case or am I Sol?
