87 IROC emergency brake handle rattles
Hi there, got a question about the parking brake. So my handle rattles like crazy...well actually its the button at the end that makes so much noise. Does anyone know what specific part I need to replace it?

The button is attached to a long rod that runs the length of the metal arm. Then engages teeth of the sprocket/gear at the other end.Perhaps the rod has slipped out of place.

My button will also rattle. It's firmly held in place and works but it can wiggle around thus causing some rattles. I've assumed its all the solid suspension joints and mounts I've changed to over the years adding more vibration to the car. I've heard of guys gluing felt to the inside of the handle by the button. I may try it.

You're just putting a little bit of felt on the side that the button is on. You could also put it on the button itself. This is basically the same fix as the vents that always flap down. Just a piece of felt.
