drum brake squeal
Im running out of ideas here and getting rather frustrated dealing with these drum brakes that wont stop squealing. I replaced whe wheel cylinders because i noticed some leakage. I noticed the shoes had a glazed look to them so i sanded the with sandpaper to rough them up again, put everything back together and it worked for about a day, the squeal returned. So i put brand new shoes and drums on cleaned them with Brakleen, and its still there. They squeal when i apply light brake pedal pressure like when im approaching a stop light and im slowing down, the squeal stops as i apply more pressure. Now im also noticing a squeal as i turn hard left like pulling out of a parking spot. I have spent alot on these brakes and have gotten nowhere ease help. They are drum brakes on an 86 Trans Am

Grease all metal-to-metal contact points with brake grease?
