Z06 Big Brake Swap
Hey Guys
Ive been looking into swapping Z06 Brakes all around in my 91. It already has disks all around.
the fronts have been covered pretty extensively I don’t think I’m going to have issues with that. What did you guys do about the rears? Anyone have a step by step? I’m assuming axles have to come out?
did you guys swap out the proportioning valves as well? What did you go with.
thank you!

Re: Z06 Big Brake Swap
Which generation Z06, C5, C6 or C7? Big Brake Upgrade offers each rear conversion for the 10-bolt. Yes, you'll have to pull the axles, but no step-by-step will be necessary. It's simple and straight forward, and the new conversion parts will bolt right on. Your existing e-brake cables might fit, but probably won't, so you'll likely need a universal kit, such as Wilwood offers. And you'll need new brake lines to the calipers, which you can also get from BBU. The rest of your car's brake components, hard lines, PPV, MC, etc., should be fine. And 18" wheels.
Then list your OE rear PBR calipers and backing plates for sale, and it will be like Black Friday at Walmart. And to bring people to premature WOT, quickly followed by Limp Mode, list the parts as 1LE, and let the bidding begin, sticky keyboards and all. Like in "Young Frankenstein," where the horses go crazy after hearing Frau Blucher's name: 1LE!!! *screaming and fainting in the TGO gallery*

Re: Z06 Big Brake Swap
I picked up C6Z Grand Sport Calipers with the hardware and the full e brake assembly. I have a friend that did it. And he was telling me the gearing has to be messed with 🤷♂️ I have no idea. But I’ll get a hold of BBU and see what they can offer.
