88 5.7L IROC ***SOLD***
Located in Missouri City, TX (SW side of Houston)
88 IROC 5.7L / 700R4 ~142K miles 3rd owner.
Mildly ported 89 TPI intake (base and plenum) with SLP Siamese Runners, Holley AFPR, "Z28" (110 PSI seat pressure) valve springs with titanium retainers, ARP poly locks, and Melling M-55 oil pump. Walboro 255L/hr in tank fuel pump. 180* thermostat. Energy Suspension tranny mount. Aftermarket injectors, bigger than 26 pounds (which is what I was told they were, I'm running them @ 22PSI no vacuum to get along with factory computer tune). Everything else in the engine / tranny is stock. Early 3rd gen disk brake 10 bolt with 3.23 posi fresh axle seals and bearings, and LT1 disk brakes. Braided stainless front and rear brake lines. Needs emergency brakes hooked back up and won't pass Texas emissions in current state of tune (mainly because EGR has been permanently disabled).
Body is straight with mostly original red paint. Car was in a minor accident before I bought it and front sheet metal was replaced/repainted. Clear coat is mostly burnt off (Texas summers) and some surface rust on roof and decklid.
Interior is in average shape for age/mileage, needs headliner. 2001 Firebird Ebony seats front and rear, 4th gen black front seat belts installed. Rest of interior is tan. Power windows and locks, power hatch release all work. Power mirrors need a new switch.
Overall the car runs good and is reliable, if it had current tags and inspection I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. I've lost interest in the project and I'm not motivated to finish it. I'm open to offers.
Extras include:
Prothane motor mounts
Spare stock type radiator
9 inch Ford housing, correct width for 3rd gen and all suspension mounts except for torque arm. Also has ladder bar mounts installed on housing.
9 inch center section, 3.50 or 3.55 single track.
88 Intake base and plenum. One thermostat hole is stripped.
2 sets of stock runners
Spare dash board and at least one spare dash pad (I may have two).
Other Misc parts in garage.
