What Is It Worth
What Is It Worth
Im thinkin of selling my 85 Camaro Berlinetta. It has a rebuilt 350 w/ about 5,000 miles. Edelbrock carb., it has a fresh coat of paint, E-T racing rims, adjustable suspention, interior is really clean so is the exterior and cherry bomb exhaust. What is a decent value for this car? Thanx for your feed back

Re: What Is It Worth
Wrong forum for this - 'what is it worth' ads have long been disallowed here.
Just take a guess, like $2500, and add 'or best offer' to encourage lower bids if you get the feeling like maybe you started out too high.
I think you will find most people here are into the Z28/IROC/Formula/Trans Am models, but you might find someone who has a soft spot for mid-range/luxury edition, for lack of a better definition, and might really want the car, especially if it's clean.
Just come up with a price, a complete description (including miles on body, options, repairs needed, new parts, etc) along with the car's location, and most importantly - PHOTOS! The more the better. I have passed on many cars over the years due to the fact that I can't SEE them. Everyone will email you anyway, asking for photos, so why bother? Just upload them. Nothing sells like an ad with lots of good, clear photos. Oh, and wash and vacuum your car before taking the photos. Nothing says 'neglected and beaten' more than a dirty car. People often associate how clean or dirty a car is with how the stuff you can't see has been maintained (oil, filters, etc). When you take pride in your car, it shows.
If you don't have a digital camera, buy a cheap disposable, take lots of photos, and then check the 'CD-ROM' option on the processing envelope. When you get the CD-ROM, upload the photos. Sorry if this sounds condescending, but not having a digital camera shouldn't be a reason for not posting photos. Spending $20 on photos is cheap when trying to sell a car for, say, $2,000 - right?
Good luck!
