Immaculate '91 RS 305/M5 for sale

It kills me to do this, but my dad is selling his '02 Formula I've been coveting for years...so my third gen has to go I've invested over $10,500 FULLY DOCUMENTED in this car in the past 2 1/2 years...this is probably the cleanest RS for sale on here right now.

1991 Camaro RS LO3/M5
116,000 miles
Bright Red with Grey Leather
T-tops

THE BAD:
Uhm...there is no bad Its immaculate, and could be driven cross-country tomorrow. I intended to drive it to FL this fall, but work forced me to cancel the trip.

THE GOOD:
Everything!!

Mods:
-TDS Wonderbar and SFCs, bolted in
-Edelbrock STB. Its 1 of 1...modified by my body shop to allow clearance for the Powermaster alternator listed below.
-Pro 5.0 shifter with red MBA Bow Tie aluminum ****
-Edelbrock Performer TBI Intake
-Edelbrock Elite open element air cleaner
-Edelbrock TPI TES headers (w/ 3" collectors)
-Edelbrock high volume aluminum water pump
-Powermaster black powdercoated 200 amp alternator...installed in anticipation of the high-end Eclipse/Xtant/Boston stereo I was going to install over the winter.
-Magnaflow cat & 3" stainless catback
-17x8 American Racing TT2s with 245/45/17 BFG KDWSs with at least 60% tread left.
-Car comes with original manifolds, shifter, alternator, wheels and tires as well.

Mechanical Condition:
1) The car drives perfect. No noises, no looseness, no issues.
2) The entire top end of the engine was regasketed...a $1,250 job done at a dealer. Both head gaskets were replaced (RH one was leaking oil externally, prompting the job), valve stem seals, etc.
3) New brakes and hoses
4) Full tune up, including MSD 8.5MM wires, Bosch Platinum +4 plugs, Blue Streak cap, radiator hoses & thermostat, etc.
5) All fluids changed
6) Recent radiator and clutch (before I bought car 5/06)
7) New KYBs front and rear
8) Just passed MA inspection
9) NOT A SINGLE LEAK!!!

Exterior:
1) BRAND NEW PAINT JOB! Completed 7/07...driven less than 3k since then. This is an OEM quality respray...no runs, no orange peel. The gfx, bumpers, hood and hatch were removed. Hood and hatch were painted underneath as well. Added GM "5.0 Liter H.O." L69 logos in silver on the gfx and rear bumper, in stock locations Car had no rot...just a little light surface rust here and there. Replaced the rear impact bar and both turn signals at that time as well. Total amount spent = $3,000. The body shop manager here at work (I work for a Chrysler dealer) claimed he should've charged me $4k because of the extra time and labor, plus using quality PPG paint. This isn't the ordinary respray. Even the inner wheel wells and under the gfx was sprayed with a POR 15 equivalent to prevent any rust!
2) NOS Lexan t-tops purchased 4k miles ago. Bought off eBay, and I was the one to take them out of the GM wrappers!
3) Car has all original GM panels...no replacements.

Interior:
1) Everything works 100%
2) Has brand new Alpine CD player with flip-down face, remote and iPod connection wire
3) Leather is in great shape, save for driver's outter seat bolster needs replacing. Seat bottom needs to be re-stitched in a couple spots. Got a quote of $150 from a trim shop to re-do both.
4) Dash pad has small crack on LH edge...other than that, its perfect.

Other random new parts (to show how meticulous I've been with this car!!!):
1) New OEM valve covers...old ones were a little rusty
2) New washer fluid jug and overflow reservoir
3) New PW and P-hatch switches (yellow wore off the old ones!)
4) New hood insulation
5) New RS bumper logo on back bumper
6) New antenna...old one had peeling paint

In summary, I restored this car to keep it...not to sell it. I've put 9k miles on it since I bought in May 2006, and its been a labor of love. I wanted to keep it AND buy my dad's car, but that doesn't seem overly feasible right now. The car is immaculate, and will not dissappoint. What does it need to be 100%? A dash pad, the driver's seat fixed...and that's it. Its beautiful the way it is. Its a great car to DD, use as a weekend cruiser like I did, or drop in an LT or LSx and have a helluva fast car. There is no maintenance, bodywork, or anything else needed. I have title in hand, and a 100% CLEAN CARFAX. This is not a junk third gen I rebuilt...I am the fourth owner. The previous owner bought in '99 with 83k on it.

Looking to get $6,995 for the car. To some, that may be high for a TBI RS, but consider a DIY'er has ZERO work to do to it, and could drop in a T56/LT1 or LS1 swap and for $10k total invested have a downright killer car. Or, leave the 305 in it and enjoy. It doesn't burn a drop of oil, the T-5 shifts perfectly, and its a great cruiser. Its never been raced/wrecked/abused. I've sold far rougher V8 third gens for $4k that needed paint and other things. This car is turnkey as-is. I did all the work to make it reliable to take on road trips, commute to work on nice days, etc.

It absolutely kills me to sell yet ANOTHER third gen...but I can't let my dad's car get away. Thanks for reading.

Re: Immaculate '91 RS 305/M5 for sale

My apologies for never getting back to this thread. Those who've asked for pics have probably moved on to different cars. I will try to get some pics up in the next few days before it gets stored for the winter (stopped driving it over a month ago).

I stopped checking the thread because, in an odd turn of events for any guy, my wife actually does NOT want me to sell it. She said because of all the money invested, I should keep it. My dad delayed selling his Firebird until the Spring (its stored in my garage, so what does he care?), so I have more time to work with now.

I'll get pics up soon...if anyone has questions in the interim, feel free to ask. Its a great, turnkey car...
