Hi Everyone! I've been lurking here a while since I acquired this beauty last year. Sadly, it's time for me to part ways with her. What I've got:
1987, Custom Built (includes commemorative plaque on dash), Burgundy IROC-Z28. I am the third owner for 'Joanne' with the first being the folks who had her custom built, followed by my parents who bought her several years back. My Mom wanted a stock car, so that has been maintained with the exception of the Edelbrock exhaust and the intake my Dad put on. Some more highlights:
She's been garage kept most of her life (covered when not inside)
Adult owned
Never raced
Interior is in good condition except for a few rub spots on the driver's seat and a bleaching stain on the rear seat that happened shortly after the first owners got her
Power windows and locks
T-Tops with covers (in excellent condition)
305 w/ 4barrel carb
5 Speed
CD Player
AC
All window seals are good
Well maintained
Has been taken to several cruise ins and shows over the past several years
Original owners manuals
Exterior is in excellent condition
Good amount of thread left on tires
Clean title
106617 original miles
Turnkey condition. In fact, I'm looking at taking her to a show mid April if I don't have to teach a class that day.
All of the pics below were taken in the last 9 months with the one from our yard taken 27 March. Located in Prince Frederick, MD. Looking for $7,000 cash.
Thanks sahlomonic! Great question! What I was told was that they didn't want what was on the dealership lot and submitted an order with what they wanted and had it built to their specs at the factory back in '87. They kept her stock as did my Mom who bought it from the original owners six years ago. Mom wanted to keep it as close to stock as possible, but Daddy threw on the Edelbrock. There's a 3x5 plaque on the front of the dash commemorating the custom build. We've left it on figuring that it would be a mess to get it off and cleaned up right. The VIN is 1G1FP21H9HN126130 and I'll scout the RPO codes tomorrow and post them up. The engine is the original 5.0 engine and has been well maintained like everything else with this car. I've spent close to $1K over the last year fixing things (new radiator, brake cylinders, choke) that time had worn out.
