Engine Compatible with ECU.

I have a 85 tpi- 350 engine swap in my 91. I kept the computer and harness. Came across the problem i need to repin the 85 harness. And a few other issues. BUT I turned around and bought a harness and computer from a 92 350 tpi setup. QUESTION IS.. Given the 92 engine is Vortec and roller cam etc. does the computer conflict with a none roller Engine? Has anybody done this? Or have any literature etc that can point me in the right direction.

Re: Engine Compatible with ECU.

Welcome to tgo, wrong posting section but ...

The 85, 870 ecm is slow and obsolete. Stick with the 90-92 speed density 730 ecm.
You can optimize performance with a custom tune.
The memcal that should be in the 92 ecm should be aujp or anjf if it's from 90.
