WTT In mid missouri!
Hello, just trying to get a car sold! Its a 91 300zx hardtop, which if you know z's, is EXTREMELY rare. I bought it about 2 weeks ago, it's my 4th 300zx (2nd z32) and my 5th z (got a 260z rusting away in my driveway, 400$ takes it!). Its got a greddy Gracer body kit from what I can tell. It's a 5 speed, and it shifts amazingly, no grinding into second like most z32s haha. I don't really know the history of the car, except at some point last year the airbag was deployed, so it's got a 3 spoke steering wheel now (better than those ugly 4 spoke haha). The title check said it was an accident in a parking lot, so I assume it wasnt bad at all. I looked all over this car and I couldnt tell it had been in a wreck, When I got the car, it was burning oil and smoking out the drivers side tailpipe. I changed the oil to something thicker (10w40) and put some seafoam in the oil/gas tank, and it runs good now. I wanted to TT it, like it should be, but lack of funds is going to keep me from it, that and I shouldnt have bought it in the first place. I just couldnt believe there was not only A a slicktop, and B it was for sale, I had to buy it. Like I said, they are extremely rare, of all of the z's made from 1990 to 1996, only 2.85% where hardtops! Id like to get what I paid for it, which is 3k, or Im looking for a 350 Iroc or firebird, Thanks!

so what's up with the car? only having it for 2 weeks before you're giving it up? is it primered? how many miles? how is it mechanically? did the seafoam and oil additives just band-aid a broken leg or what?

Re: WTT In mid missouri!
Well, it's my fourth 300zx, and I hadn't intended to buy another one just yet. It just fell in my lap so to speak. I simply could not believe that there was a hardtop for sale here locally, it's that rare in the z world. It is primered, 156k miles. I drove it to Kansas city about a week ago (400 miles in all) and it ran just fine. There is still a slight smell of burning oil, but I've checked it every time I've put gas in it, and it doesn't seem to be burning much at all, could be residual. It shifts fine, which is awesome, they usually grind into gears. The interior is okay, it needs a really good cleaning. Blue book on these cars in poor condition is 3k, and always going up. It handles like a dream

what are they motor wise? V6 twin turbo or single turbo? how much boost?
it looks like some stuff is missing in the console? radio? temp control? does everything else in the car work? all the lights/controls etc?

This one is just a v6. It doesnt have a radio, but it's got some speakers. All the lights work as far as I know, the controls for the heater/ac work but it's missing the a/c belt. The power steering needs a new belt too, it's starting to whine.

There is no such thing as a 300z, only 300zx. They didnt make hardtop twin turbos here in america. These are sought after to do the twin turbo swap on them, because they have a much more rigid body. These cars are still extremely quick. Ive had two older turbos (one's in my sig) and this is faster for sure.
