1984 GMC Truck - Ready to wheel, trade for Camaro
1984 GMC Truck - Ready to wheel, trade for Camaro
I have come to the realization that having two wheeling vehicles is not a wise choice no matter the circumstances. I'm putting Big Red up for sale/trade and will include the parts truck for the right price/trade. Truck info below:
Big Red
Truck:
1984 GMC half ton, ~165k miles w/ recently installed 3/4 ton axles
Engine/Transmission:
350 ci V8, ~25k miles
New Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, <500 miles
700R4 automatic, ~5k miles
Axles:
1978 3/4 ton D44 front, and 14bolt full floating rear
Disc conversion in rear, 4.10 gears
Tires:
6 - 36" Military Goodyears, 4 mounted
4 - 35" Summit CT Trail Climbers, 4 mounted
The truck runs and drives well as it sits. It is not inspected currently. Would need an ebrake, smaller tires, catalytic convertors and the rocker panels installed for a valid inspection in Maine. For a streetable wheeling rig it is ready to go, if you wanted to daily drive it the above would be required.
Parts Truck:
Truck:
1978 GMC 3/4 ton
Engine/Transmission:
350 ci V8
4 speed manual with new clutch
Axles:
D44 front, and 14bolt full floating rear
Tires:
Will be sitting on whichever above named tires the red truck isn't.
The parts truck is fairly complete, just missing exhaust and a few body parts I believe. I picked it up non-running, previous owner claims it ran but has a timing issue. Alot of spare parts came with the truck, I have an extra set of doors, new rocker panels, tail lights, etc.
I have alot into the truck, alot more then I'm asking and don't really want to part with it but at this point it would make more sense for me to spend the money on something else or at least have a street car to play with.
I would sell the trucks outright combined for $4000. Separately I'd sell my truck for $3400 and the parts truck for $800. I could work out delivery from the Lewiston, ME area for a fee or work it into a trade. I'm interested in Camaros, particularly third generation ones. I'd be open to offers though. No snowmobiles/motorcycles, I'd be liable to die quickly.

Re: 1984 GMC Truck - Ready to wheel, trade for Camaro
I might be interested in your truck, I have an 88 IROC t-tops, red. Where are you located? The IROC has been garaged and hasn't been run for a few years, I would trailer it. There is a story with the car and I'm looking to get my money back out of the deal. I can get pics when my daughter comes back from her mothers. Body is solid but the clear is pealing. I beleive it needs a new chip. other than that its very strong, sounds like theres a big cam, MSD ig., flowmaster ex Edlebrock headers, I would guess its bored over as well. Let me know. x469

Sorry, didn't realize my sig didn't have a location. I am in Lewiston, Maine.
What motor/tranny is in the Camaro? Sounds interesting to me.
