Looking for my first camaro. I live in Northern Kentucky, but I'm more than willing to drive into central

I don't care what the trim/model is....RS, Z28, IROC, anything. Just must have a V8 under the hood. Whether it's a 305 TBI or LS1, I'm interested. Built, stock, swapped, or tuned!

I prefer a manual, but will consider autos. I'm VERY fond of the T56 6-speed mated to a 350+!

I'm willing to give up some looks for performance. I don't want a rat-rod, or some high-milage weekend warrior deal. Primer is ok, minor surface rust is ok....as long as it's fixable.

Mechanically, it need to be reliable enough to make occasional 100-150 miles trips. It will be a DD, only getting around 20 miles of country road travel per day. But I'm usually going on little roadtrips once a month or so.

I'm looking to keep it under $8000.
Please let me know, I'm really serious about camaros, and have the money.

 

I have a 350 IROC that seems to meet your needs... but it's an '88.
