Any 350's with T-Tops in or relatively close to Missouri?

You will never find a factory L98(350) car with T-Tops... well I take that back... you will find a few in the mid to late '80's.

I was lucky enough to buy my car already with a T-Top conversion! Springfield eh? My car is trailored over there quite often to meet with a few Springfield FBody guys and others from the area.

 

I'm starting to see that it may be a difficult find. I would be happy with a hard top too. Been looking for a couple months and this is wearing me out.

 

Almost all of the 350(L98's) you'll find are hardtop, good luck finding one in Missouri. My first one, I drove just past St. Louis into Illinois to get. This one, I actually did find in Kansas City... but the guy just moved here from Washington(state). My favorite 3rd Gen's are '91 - '92, but the near-by ones always seem to be beat up, but all the good ones are a good 3-5hour trip away.

 

I've found quite a few L98/T-top cars, but outside of Missouri. Way outside, lol. Think east or west coast, usually.

 

I just drove 7 hours yesterday out into Kansas to look at a hunk of junk some kid lied to me about!

 

Hit up craigslist, and broaden your search to include Kansas City and St. Louis. Don't forget to also include Topeka, KS. You may hafta drive a bit to get a car, but that will really be your best bet. I am always searching craigslist just for grins and always find some good ones. Heck, bout a month ago, I bought a 1987 Trans Am GTA with a 350, hardtop for $2000. It needs a new driver's side fender and possibly a driver's door, but it's easily fixable. A good cleaning and she turned out to be a pretty decent car.

They are out there, just widen your search to include KC.

 

Oh definitely, everyday I search every state surrounding Missouri...... most of the good ones are either on the west or east coast. I'm just gonna have to pony up for a plane ticket.

 

I heard my last '91 Z28 L98 is for sale in Nashville, I slightly built the motor before selling it off, puts down maybe close to 300whp. Aftermarket Hughes Performance 700r4, stalled, full suspension minus cage pretty much. Gorgeous looking car. Here's a pic of it. Guy will probably want around $6200 - $6500 for it, that's close to what I sold it to him for.

If I have my Camaro long enough, I'll trailor it out to Springfield and we'll meet up... I got bunches of FBody buds over there.

 

Sounds fun, I should have mine hopefully within a week or so, finishing paint right now.
