im currently driving a black 98 z28, but i had a black 1992 z28 305 and sold it out of pure ignorance.
I miss it quite a bit, although it was nothing special as far as options and what not.
So im looking for a 91 or 91 z28 with a 350 in decent shape... would love the heritage package, but its not a must.
wanting to buy, trade, whatever
I see a lot of these cars for sale all up north, most of them in somewhat good condition, but im having trouble finding one down south in the Tx area..
I dont want a project car, but something i can drive without major work.
If anyone know or has seen something near me, please let me know.
Im not real familiar with auto searching online.

i have a friend with a 91/92 rs 305 5 speed, all it needs is paint, its a nice driver, new weatherstripping, interior is nice, it's in north houston

 

I really want a Z w/ a 350 though..

anyone that knows of one, id really appreciate the tip.

im having a terrible time finding one that doesnt require a total rebuild.

I've got a 91 Z28..

Factory L98
Factory G92 (3:23)
Rebuilt the tranny this time last year.. (Best sunshell, superservo, best of everything- chirps the tires on the 2nd to 3rd shift at wot)
nearly perfect dash (tiny cracks righ on the corners)
decent interior (headliner sags, and drivers set has the standard rip on the door side)

body is in decent shape.. there are some dings, and someone put a small crease in the bottom of the drivers door/rear quarter (figure the quarter can be dollied, but the door will need skinned) not perfect but not a rust rod either.

Cooper Cobra 205/55r16's in front, and 205/50r16 Firestone firehawk gt's (brand new) on the rear, on the stock rims

been lookin for an 89 or so mustang, or something interesting

I am in IL.

It's an L98 car, a true Z28 not a clone, only thing in the driveline that isnt origional is the tranny (case is from an earlier rs) even still has the factory dual cat setup on it.

on the possible downside.. the motor has 217k on it, as far as I know its never been rebuilt, the guy that had it new used it to run back and forth to indianapolis so almost all of those are interstate miles. he then gave it to his son, who promptly killed the tranny.. he limped it around till i got it.

it has:

all front brake hardware is almost a year old
poly trans & torque arm bushings
poly sway endlink bushings
hypertech thermomaster chip/therm (160 Deg.) (runs cool temp guage hasnt seen 220 since i installed it)
TB bypass
accell wires/year old stock cap etc.
smog pump/most emissions delete (i didnt cut anything, just unhooked it)
compressor is all thats left of the A/C
all lights function correctly except one of the plate lights :P
cruise no workie (no clue why)
had half of a Viper alarm in it, was givin me trouble... replaced the lighter with a push button start before i found it. (still requires the correct key to be in the ign. and on to start merely a failsafe)

the paint is bad.. it will need repainted to be pretty, but the door should be addressed first.

as for the door.. it's just a crease, the door functions perfectly, cosmetic dmhg only.

Bodys a bit rough, but it's solid, and you just wont find another car with these options. only affordable third gens ive seen lately are the light blue rs's, and older model z28's that are in pieces.

I am looking for a 4x4 vehicle. I would like a jeep, but will take a truck. My Camaro is a 350 AT with 107K miles. It has installed a new water pump, radiator, mufflers, convertible top, window motors, paint job is about 4 years old, new seat covers sewn in from the 30th anniversary edition, tires are fairly new v rated, new plugs, battery, and more. I love this vehicle but need a 4 wheel drive. I have all the paper work for the new parts and almost all the oil changes. Never been wrecked and has no rust! I am the 3rd owner. I want $6,000 for it but might take a little less or a fair trade. I'm in Ga, Bu maybe we can work out some kind of price drop or raise for transportation if your interested.
