WANT to BUY '87 or '88 IROC Convertible

I had a very nice '88 IROC Convertible, 305 TPI, 700R4, 3.23:1 Posi, black w/Grey interior and I would like to find one to replace it.

Tell me what you have for sale. Looking for mostly stock vehicle but would consider some slight modifications or even project cars (no motor/trans, etc).

Money is not an object but I do know what these cars are worth so don't get out of control with what you want.

Send me an email with some description of what you have (year, condition, how much rust, motor, trans, wheels, etc), hopefully some pictures, and how much you are looking for.

Can travel some (I am in Central NJ), have car trailer.

While my 1988 IROC is not for sale here is a pic of what BASSr is looking for. Mine has everything that he described in his post. Only 3,700 (approximately) of these made so it may take a while to find an exact match. I would expect to pay between $4500 and $6,000 for a clean, no rust showroom ready '88 vert. I do know where a 1988 base Camaro (black) vert is for sale for $2500.

Nice car! That looks just my old one! :-)

Yes, this is what I am looking for. Where is the '88 base Camaro located? Do you have any contact info for it?

It is located in Chicago. And yes I have the contact info as a realtive of the owner works with me. The owner is a mechanic and has the 305 TBI in nice shape. He also installed new floorpans on both sides. Has aftermarket rims which I would replace if I bought the car. The top is in fair condition and would work until replaced.

Thanks. I think I'll wait a while to see if any '87 or '88 IROC Convertibles come up. Too many things that I like about the IROC's that were not on the base Camaro's.
