Looking for v8 Camaro/Firebird

I am looking to purchase a v8 camaro/firebird, I am hoping for 5.7 5/6 speed (if someone did swap) but would also purchase a 5.0 5speed. Do not want an automatic.
I was about to purchase a v6 and buy a crate engine to put in the car but because of all the items I would have to replace I would rather start with a v8 and up the power if I felt the need to. If your engine is blown I would be interested in purchasing the vehicle as long as the price/parts are right.

I am interested in cars all through Washington and northen Oregon.

Re: Looking for v8 Camaro/Firebird

I'm in Salem, OR and I have this roller 92 Z28 Heritage. I actually picked it up not too long ago but plans are changing so I've put it back up for sale. The only real rust i've found on the car is in the battery box. It still has the radiator and dual fans. If you want some more specific pictures let me know. I don't know if it is original paint or not (its the correct colors) but it has some clearcoat peeling and the vinyl stripes are cracking. Was originally a 350 TPI 700r4 car.
I have the dash out right now because the PO did some hacking of the interior wiring. I'll be fixing it. There is no engine wiring in the car currently.

Re: Looking for v8 Camaro/Firebird

It looks nice, but unfortunately I don't have the expertise to put the car together the way she deserves.

Most I've done is changing out coilovers, valve cover gaskets, alternator, etc. I have a friend that has done 2 engine swaps and I am only trying to tackle an engine swap right now (if I have to). I unfortunately wouldn't know where to begin with a rolling shell, or probably have the money to put all the nice new shiny parts in it like I would like to.

Re: Looking for v8 Camaro/Firebird

If you were planning on running a carb then the wiring wouldn't be a big deal. Run a wire for tach. Fixing the door is just bolting the replacement one up.

Well. Thanks anyways.

Hello, if you are still in the market for a Third Gen V8 Camaro, mine is for sale and not too far from you (Bay Area, CA). It's a 1988 Camaro IROC-Z, 5.7 V8, 6-speed, black, with upgrades. Here's a link to my craigslist post.

Re: Looking for v8 Camaro/Firebird

Hey, I have a beautiful 92 firebird formula for sale has a rebuilt tranny with 3 miles on it cost $1,000, a 305 tpi v8 swap with all new gaskets and everything which was also a $1,000, new clutch, new plugs and wires, new distributor, new iacv, new battery and heater core and a new flow master 40 exhaust. interior is all black near perfect, paint is red and is also really good condition. Has a high idle which I believe is a bad tps I tested it with a volt meter and it was bad and think that will lower the idle. Also has a small crack on front left bumber and a blemish on passenger mirrorThere were only 300 something we're made with a hardtop and 5 speed manual transmission thank you for looking Bryce. Pictures wouldn't upload but I have them and if interested we can text.
