Hey All-

Well... I retired! Aaaannd, my better half has authorized me to go ahead with my "mid-life-crisis"! I decided to let her choose between the car I could never find, or a hot 20yr old- which brings us here!

I've had 26 of these things over the past 25yrs, and I've NEVER been able to find the one I really wanted for sale anywhere. I've been searching religiously for the past 6wks now. I've searched Craigslist in almost every city in the continental US. I've been checking all of the trader and classified sites I can find, and I've been reaching out to people I know in the auto sales and salvage industries nationwide. I'll find the right car eventually, but it HAS to be the last one- which means it HAS to be the RIGHT one- so I need ya'lls help please.

MUST HAVE

1988 OR 1989
TPI- vin F. No throttlebody vin E cars
5 SPEED
T-Top preferred, BUT: Convertible is ok. Hard tops really don't do it for me.
16 in Iroc rims- the RIGHT ones, dual stripe- not the single stripe 86-87's.
NO SALVAGE TITLES

WOULD LIKE

Prefered Color (in order of preferance)

1) Black with silver stripe and accented wheels
2) Dark Red (maroon) with gold stripe and accented wheels
3) Bright Red with silver stripe and accented wheels

I HATE White

Interior

Original leather wheel (not trashed)
Original leather shifter handle would be great.

I don't care about the seat/carpet color, and I don't care if the seats are cloth or leather- as long as they aren't a wreck.

I would prefer the cloth door panels, but the diagonal / vynal door panels won't kill the deal.

Stock stereo preferred, but a TASTEFULLY upgraded aftermarket setup is ok. I just hate it when I find the radio plugs cut back to the harness, and the speaker covers hacked up to fit some gangsta sh*t...

If nothing that really excites me comes along by then I may hold off, but I'm spending about 2 hrs a day looking.

I can afford a nice car- not a 23k museum piece, but I'm in the market for something under 100k miles. I'm gonna fly out to see the final candidate before I buy. I'm hoping to drive it home, but weather will dictate whether or not it gets shipped.
