OK Tech question...

Any of you guys try the Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets? I am having some trouble hooking up at the track with my street tires. I am running 2.3-2.4 short times now that I am putting more power out.

I have boxed my LCA, Panhard and reinforced my TQ Arm (see here)

I also installed polyurethane bushings all around.

I was running 2.04-2.14 last year, but with less power.

I am going to try some Hoosiers on Sunday, and have ordered a set of LCA brackets from fast toys...have you guys had any experience with them(the brackets and/or fast toys)?

Once I get some decent hookup I will be doing a TQ Convertor and tranny kit. Hopefully all this will help get the car in the 13s with bone stock motor from oil pan to plenum, and through the exhaust manifolds.

When I accomplish that I will then install my Vortec heads, Base, Runners(if they ever arrive) and headers....might see 12s with stock cam in a full weight full load GTA with TTOPs!!!!

When I first installed my spohn relocation brackets I had bald tires on my car so they really didn't help me much with 1st gear only tell I shifted to 2nd then I could feal the tires dig in. The next summer I bought some new goodyear GSC tires and boy that made a huge difference, I could launch at 3 to 4 thousand rpms with out wheel spin, now how much of that was the help of the brackets I'am not totally sure but what I think was happening was the tires gave the car enuff grip to let the brackets do there job and plant the tires into the ground.

BTW one warning to you, after I installed the brackets and on the lowest setting my handling became way worse, my rearend felt very loose kinda like when I had the stock bushings in there but more so.

Does the car still feel like that? I don't want to screw up my handling in any way. Are you still on the lowest setting? Isn't that for lowered cars?

Ya the car still feals like that, its a tade off for better grip. Don't get me wrong the handling is still good just at a lower level than stock, for me anyways. And your question about the lowest setting, its for the guys wanting the most bite they can get.
