What does this button do??

On my 87 Fbrd Formula, I have a music note button in the dash with a gain slider on it. What does it do?? I ~think~ it seems to activate some rear speakers, but I can't be sure (radio acting up)...

I don't actually know... I just got it. Where would the subs be located?

where the 6x9s are normally located, in the sail panels.. if you take them off, you should see a 5.25" (or something) "subwoofer" and then a smaller speaker.. its easy to differentiate, do you see one or two things there?

Well, I haven't had a chance to look, but I can tell the difference once I adjust the gain and bass levels. Definately subs there.

Were they any good, or should I just replace them all?

Re: What does this button do??

It could be one of the following:
1. Passenger eject button while on a bad date.
2. Ballbuster(used to kick cops in the nuts when you get pulled over for a smooth getaway)
3.Self destruct button(used if and only if you get smoked by a Rustang so you won't have to face your friends. You know they will rag the hell out of you.)
4. Front machine gun control(used to get those slow mother ****ers out of your way)

its the factory sub option.. the premium sound option that is. If you take out the factory stereo head unit.. it won't work anymore so basically what i am going to do to mine (because i have that option too) is take out the whole side panel where the 2 speakerss are mounted.. make my own panel to hold a 6x9 and replace them witht he 6x9's

Ah HA! Got's the performance sound option, so that's bein it!

And, I've got a Bose 6cd Changer coming from my Aunt (the first time she's given me anything in YEARS) so the small subs will go with it!

That is one of THE most hilarious things I have heard all night.

I'm leaning toward adding 1 or 4 as an option...

I've found that most of the time the machine guns just scare the heck out of the grampas and they end up slamming on the brakes. A pair of sidewinders on the other hand...

I'd rather die in my sleep like my grandpa, instead of kicking and screaming like all the people in his car!
