I am going to do it.

I was at school surfing ebay, i was bored hehe. And im like, i see that fosgate, pheonix gold and all there stuff is quite cheap compared to store prices.

Im like, wtf lets check out some legacy, dhd, boss amps subs etc etc.

Here is what i found.

Legacy 800x2, 1600x1 amp, for 100$.

Ofcourse this amp will never even close to reach that, but im not expecting it too, it will still put out a decent amount of power that will supply my subs

Subs = two 12 inch 800 watt legacy subs.

Cost = 25$ a PAIR

LMFAO!!!

I am going to do this no matter what, I am going to put together a 200$ system, including, deck, amp subs... And see what i get.

If it all goes bad, barely even hits, or whatever, hey its only 150$ for subs, amp, who cares right???

But I am going to put my money on, it will turn heads, we will see, this is for all those people who say legacy suck (which they do) and you get what you pay for (we'll see )

HHAHAHAHA this is going to be sweet.

Now i wont be afraid of getting my stuff stolen like last year... lol, go head, steal it, haha.

granted, it may suck, but if you ask any good stereo guy, they'll tell ya the install is 80-90% of the sound. you can have the best stuff in the world, but if you dont put it together right, it'll sound just as bad a pyramid. likewise, cheaper stuff can sound pretty good if installed well. however, i'll stick with my type-r and ample amps

I've seen those subs!!! LMAO

I was thinkin' of getting some and just cranking the **** on 'em and see how far they'll fly after they tear their surrounds!!!!!

I've seen a guy who blew one of his 2 RF 12" subs, take the other good sub and plug it straight into a 120V wall outlet at home. They were still under warranty so he was like "WTF? Why not?"

It was cool. The sub just popped up, froze there, and started smokin' like crazy. And it made this painful humming sound.

It was funny.

I used a 1000 watt legacy for 4 10" subs and it didn't sound all that bad......

Granted i didn't break my ear drums but it was nice for the price....

as much as you may think you are getting a steal here, it can only go so far. you may only be spending $150 on the combo but what about shipping, or installation, or a box. also, you may forget about why legacy are cheap. they are low quality. they may be loud here and there, but it wont be for very long and itll sound like ****. what you are trying to do is like taking a cheap rice burner and hoping it will keep up with traffic because you cant afford high quality american automotives.

i think that if you dont think $150 is not a big deal, than you should spend another couple hundred and get something that will actually sound decent.

just my opinion on the matter. think about it before you try to impress someone at a light or something and they flat out embarass you. good luck. its a tough road ahead.
