How much space do I need.......

I want to know how much space I need between the magnet of the Sub and the bottom of the Box, like the pic attatched.
I have 6" for a mounting depth. I can get:
Type-R it is 5 15/16"
Kicker Comp VR it is 5"
RF HX2 it is 5 7/16"
Which would be the best with the right amount of wattage?
Thanks,
Brian

Most companies recommend 1". But it's not gonna really 'hurt' anything by having it closer.

About the only problem that may occur is since some subs have a vented pole, then you may be restricting the cooler air from easily getting to the vent, but you should be OK since any air that's moving is cooler air anyway.

For a ported box the port should be unobstructed the same number of inches as the port is in diameter .... so I assume the same would hold true for a sub with a vented pole. If the sub had a 1" vent in the pole then I'd keep at least 1" between the sub and the bottom of the box. If the sub was unvented then I guess you would need just enough room to keep it from touching (to avoid noise caused by vibration).
