Okay, my setup has been acting weird lately. I put a post up before about a strange rattling/buzzing coming from my right rear 6x9 component. I insulated the little vent that goes into the sail panel as some said it could be that rattling - - wasn't the problem. Now it has turned into more of a noticable hissing buzzing noise. Also, the problem is guaranteed to happen in the morning when its cold out, but at times in the afternoon when its warm it goes away.
The one thing I think I might have done to screw up the speaker (the tweeter) was when I was hooking up all the wires. I was doing the AA (1.5V) battery trick to see which was +/-, and in addition to the 6x9's, i did it to the right rear tweeter. Im thinking that this perhaps could have ruined the tweeter?
Also, as I have my battery in the trunk, I have the + and - battery cable running down the passenger side. I don't think it is interference caused by this because none of the other speakers on the passenger side have any similar problems (front tweeter, front 5.25", or rear 6x9). For now I am just going to leave the rear tweeter unplugged until I can figure out what the heck is wrong with it, but in the meantime if some of you could give some help in diagnosing what the problem could be, i'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

When you used the battery to test the tweeter how long did you leave it on? If for more than a split second you probably fried the tweeter.
from what i remember i only briefly touched the wires to the battery. I unhooked the 'bad' tweeter last night, and this morning i noticed the same buzzing/hissing from the other rear tweeter. Now on that tweeter I never did the battery trick - - and the reason i didn't notice it was because the passenger rear tweeter has more of a direct shot to my head, then the one behind my seat. I have since unhooked both of the tweeters from the rear crossovers (channels 3 & 4 on the amp) and twisted them together with the front tweeters (channels 1 &2)... so far everything has seemed to work fine, but i'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see for sure.

I really don't know what is wrong. I could be that you got defective tweeters, or maybe the channels on your amp(ch. 3-4) are bad or your crossover is bad. These are the only other things I can think of right now. Maybe you can rule out some of these tomorrow.
