Has any one tried to put the subs in the back seat and take out the seat? I have i wil have pics soon. But you can put a 15in. sub back there and it will hit. Mine is right behind my seat. And it is nice. It is the cleanest bass a lot of my friends have heard. I have the 15in Alpine Type-r running off of a MTX 81000D. I have 8 gauge power wire running to the speakers as speaker wire. I had to run 1/0 gauge wire. I have a curcuit breaker so I don't have to worry about fuses. I have a new Pioneer head unit. I have steel braided RCAs. It is a nice set-up. If anyone is brave enough you should try it. You will end up puttin everything right behind your back. And the best part is that you still have room for your t-tops. :hail:

for a hard-hitting 15" though, you may need an extreme girl... for some of them it may be too much or just play a test CD with 100hz constant for a couple minutes... they'll love you till the day you die...

I swore I read somewhere that the "secret number" was 33Hz?

Not that I'd ever try that.

Be warned you might want to put a diaper on em first... It could short circuit if it gets a little to wet

Taking out the seats is a bad idea. Unless this is going for competeition, dont do it. Keep the seat. You will not want that much air blowing in your direction anyway. You will actualy feel the air.

That's just one of the many perks of having subs. :hail:

very nice! If you read my thread " system addition", im doing the same thing, but with 12's. Also, the only thing the back seats are good for is school books and stuff that would go in the hatch. Im not sure if you guys have this problem, My car likes to bottom out when i have 4, even 3 people in my car. It doesnt matte if they weigh 75 pounds or 200 pounds, it just happens. That is why my seats are out for now. Then when I put the subs in, the compartment in the rear hatch panel and the floor by passenger is gonna be my new storage. It sucks, but when youve owned a truck, you get used to it. Sweet setup! Oh and who wouldnt like to feel the air from the sub? The mire air you feel moving the better. It means you have alot of bass! Just think, if you can feel all that air, how you think it sounds outside the car? Yep, thats what I thought.

Here's my box in my back seat. I have two Audiobahn AW1208Q's (Flame's) in it. I have two MA Audio SY7011DX's driving them. That's 1800W on each subs. I built the port on the outside of the box so that I could save chamber space for the subs. They need 3 cubic feet each. I built this for SPL. Haven't been able to test it yet. Got to be hitting high 140's though. Loudest system I have ever built.

I spent many hours fiberglassing this box. It was my first experience with fiberglass. I learned a lot.

There is a post somewhere that shows a guys box for 4 15's. it's pretty nice. Had to be tough to build. I just wanted to be able to still see through my rear view mirror.

four 15's
Theres a guy in Arthur Ontario with four 15's, two 10's, and four 8's in his 1990 Iroc camaro, and he still has his back seats.

Two 8's PG xs and 1" tweet per door, one 10 PG xs and 1" tweet in the stock 6x9 locations and 4 PG X-Max 15's behind the rear seats, powered buy two PG ZPA 0.5's and a ZX-450.

AutoSonics in Guelph Ontario did his costom work for the boxes ect.

I will see if i can get ahold of him for some pic's.
