i have an 89 gta and it says for pontiac 87-88 12 button controls will it still work with my car?

I have no idea. Why don't you email the company and post the responce here. I'm sure there's a reason it list for only 87 and 88. Cool idea. I'd love to keep my wheel controls functional. Heck, I'd love to relocate a number of controls to the steering wheel and clean up the dash. That would certainly look different.

If anyone has ever seen the Banshee's wheel controls they'd know what I'm talking about.

Well last time i checked Pontiac was part of General Motors so i think it will work:

General Motors: 1989-1993 vehicles without airbags
General Motors: any 1992-and up vehicle with steering wheel airbags and climate controls
