do i need DVC (duel voice coil) sub

Well I might be getting REZN8R's stealth fiberglass box, so I need a 10" sub, What is a DVC and do I need one, how much better is it than a single and do they cost alot more. Do I need a differnat amp, I currently have a Rockford 500 watt 4ohm amp.

Any suggestion on a sub (DVC or single) 10" to match my 500 watt amp, for about $100-$200

DVC subs arent "better" or anything, they generally cost the same amount. they allow more flexible wiring options. how many ohms is your amp stable down to? if it works at 2 ohms, you can get a SVC 2-ohm sub or a DVC 4-ohm sub in order to maximize power output

I belive my amp can saftley go to 4 ohms, How can I find out for sure, Will it tell me in the instruction booklet that came with it.

I really dont need flexible wiring options, I'm just doing one sub with one amp. So should I just do a SVC then.
