Convertible w/ 160DB???

Hello,

I'm new to this board, and am looking for anyone who built a system in there convertible. I'm planing on a 2400+ watt system, 100 sq. feet of Dynomat. Please I need some thought's on either ripping out the rear seat or using a standard 3rd Gen Style box.

sorry, but a 'vert is gonna be almost impossible to get up to 160 dB. too much flexing everywhere (cloth roof, over windows, etc). but in any case. stay away from dynamat, too over priced. brown bread, b-quiet, raammat, all good alternatives at a much lower cost. before we can give you more info, need to know what kinda equipment you're gonna be goin with. then it'll be easier to tell ya where to put the box and how big it should be.

Well I plan on using a PPI A1200.2 as well as a A404. I am debating on sub's I'm not decided yet but I have always loved Cerwin Vega and their customer service is second to none. I will use dubble door pods that I will make out of fiberglass. I have been looking at the car I relize it will not be as hard to do as I originaly thought and mabey 160db+ is a little out or rerach but I would like to know if enyone has ever built a system in a vert. And if they have pic's. I think a fiberglass enclosure is the only way to go in this case since space is an issue. I can't mout the amps in the usual place (between the rear wheel wells) since the top will fold into there. I think that if I can kill all the rattles then I might even be at an advantage over a "normal" camaro because the trunk/tanue cover make a kind of folded horn enclosure in it's natural state, either way it will be a kick *** system and I will post a bunch of pics on my websight when shes finnished. I also would like to know if anyone has installed a remotestart on a 1991/92 with the pass key. Dose the DEI 555 bypass module work?
