why cant i hear any sound?

why cant i hear any sound?

i just bought a kenwood kdc 319 and i installed it and it worked great and everything and then all of a sudden today at the end of a song there was nothing.i changed the station and put in a cd and i cant hear anything. it beeps and everything i just cant hear any sound. what is wrong with it?

alright, now its really weird, i let it cool off and it worked fine, i pulled it out to check teh wires, the back was soo hot it burned the crap outa my hand but all the wires are good unless maybe its a ground

Bad install! Check your connections and hookup in general. The next time you'll probably kill the internal amp in the HU.

yea.... where was the amp at? it sounds to me like you overheated it or something make sure the amp is in a place where it can get plenty of air to keep it cool.

i dont have an external amp, just the internal one. i disconected all the speaker wires and re cut and connected them to make sure they are good, i used the little blue tube conecters that you crimp, i forget what they are called. but anyway i also put a block of wood behind it to raise it up off the carpet and out the the insulation and off the all the wires back there. i hope it works
