Need a good pair of 6 1/2" - 7" 2 or 3-ways for $60 or under shipped, please help!

my girlfriend has a '93 saturn sw1 wagon, and we took out the old front speakers because they started rattling.
(and no, it wasn't just a loose screw; the speakers were visibly busted)

she's willing to spend about $60 on some new 2/3-ways.
her cutouts are for 6 3/4" speakers, but on sounddomain.com, it said that 7" speakers would fit also.

She wants speakers that will put out some great sound (especially lower range) because she has one of those "premium" factory audio systems, and she had some nice mid-low range sound from the front speakers before they started rattling.

So does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You're gonna think I'm nuts, but go to Walmart and get the Jensen XS 6 1/2" speakers. They sound DAMN good for ~$40-$50. They're the ones with the swivel tweeter.

Everyone that sits in my car hears them and says "What kind of speakers do you have in the dash?"

Me - "None. I have them there in the kickpanels."

They ask - "What brand are those?"

Me - "Jensen."

They say "NO ****?!?!?! Those don't sound like the Jensens I used to have. Those actually sound good."

I put them in my car about 6 mos ago. First I had an Alpine 70x2 running them. I had to take that out because I had it mounted under my driver's seat and when I put 4th gen seats in there wasn't enough clearance for it.

Now I have a Pioneer 45x2 running them cause it was the cheapest, highest power, good name brand, and small enough to fit. I've had that on there for ~2 mos now and they don't whimper at all.

The reason I liked them is because they're not bass heavy. I listened to a lot of speakers like Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Kenwood, etc. and they all had good bass, yet sounded muffled. The Jensens have good bass also, but they're more balanced. They sound 'real' if ya know what I mean.

Occasionally I turn off my sub when my 3 yr old son's in the car with me. Once it's off I just turn the bass on the headunit up and it still sounds pretty good.

The Saturn's speakers are in the doors aren't they? If so, they'll have even more bass than mine because they'll have the door to use as a "box". Mine are in the kick panels and there's nothing around them to accent the bass.
