CrO3 button on stock radio???

CrO3 button on stock radio???
Anyone know what this button does? I couldn't find it in the manual or anywhere on the boards.

is it a cassette deck? if so, its meant for metal cassettes. its a slightly different material used for the tape (still looks identical to other cassettes). it wont harm anything to push it if the cassette isnt a metal one, just sound a little different (not sure if it boosts the gain or certain frequencies, havent touched a cassette in a while). if its not a cassette deck, then i've got no clue
