amp mounting rack

hey guys im wondering if anyone has built a rack type thing to mount their amp on over the deep well in the hatch area...most people have boxes that go there but i want my amp and cap to be mounted on a board over that area. does anyone have the dimensions id need to cut a piece of wood to make it fit? i know some people have plate systems that go over that area, do you have any dimensions for them? thanks in advance. and if you dont know what im talking about, heres a horrible picture

I picked up my plate board from JCWhitney a lonnng time ago, they might still sell 'em. It was $30 I think... came precut with two 12" holes and carpeted, so I didn't complain. But you could figure out the size you need yourself, just make a template from a large piece of cardboard. You could probably even use a few pizza boxes... order two pies, and get to work!

i made one solid piece over the whole top of mine if i recall it was i think about 40 1/2" by 38 1/2" but you will have to buy a tape measure.

yeah, since you are going to need a tape measure anyway to measure the wood you cut, just measure the area you want to put it in so you are positive before you go cutting up pieces of wood.
