Sub/amp question
You can see what I have in my sig, but I have a problem. When I turn on the car, for the first 10-15 minutes or so, I get this constant thump-thump-thump-thump from my subs. It goes away after a little while, but I can't figure it out. it's very regular, probably like twice a second or so. Could this just be noise from the alternator and be fixed by putting a noise filer inline with the power cable?

I've found that usually that "thump thump thump" is a result of one speaker terminal being shorted to ground.

yea that sounds like a short or something check the wireing for the amp to the terminal and from the terminal to the speaker make sure everything is separate and nothing is touching. and make sure all the wire is good and not a shatty looking.

ok. I'll check the ground part, but I know the wires are brand new. It's weird because it only does this within the first 10 minutes of the car being run. And come to think of it, it didn't do it when i first installed the box. Thanks guys.
