I finally got my new Alpine YEY!
Well, I have finally de-sonyized my car. It is now all alpine (CD Player and sub), Planet Audio (Amp, soon to be JBL, its on its way), and Boston Accoustic (6x9's and soon 4x6's). The alpine is the CDA-9815, MP3 and WMA Compatable, iPersonalize feature, MX, XM radio capable, tilt, blue illumination on a black background, removable face, and all sorts of other neat do hickeys and diddlys. Payed for it from an authorized alpine dealer, so that kinda hurt (a $534.12 hurt) but it was graduation money. I told myself that I would spend half and save half. Well, I ended up with $1200 in grad. money (Plus the $2000 Dell laptop Im using now
). So The other 5 sumthin is now in a savings account. I think I did pretty damn good
. Here is a pic, I'll get some from my car tomorrow, and does anyone else have this headunit?

Thank *** for graduation money
After spending $534.12 on the deck, and depositing $150 in my checking, I STILL had $420 to put into my savings account
. I love graduation

i believe the factory warranty covers it for a period of time, just seems you could do a lot more with that extra $200.
where in central CA are you 89BlackGTA?
that 1/4 time is pretty impressive with that few of mods, i hope mine runs that well!

Thanx for all the compliments. I know 500 is quite a bit and i know that Ikesound sells them for 4 sumthin but i wanted to get rid of my sony and I didnt want to wait for ikesounds slow *** to ship me one. Its taking them forever on my 1200.1. I ordered a month ago and they still havent shipped it...and they've already taken the payment. As for looking plain...if I were to have bought one that I wanted to look at all day chances are I would be dead already from a car wreck. I have a hard enough time searching thru an MP3 cd and driving in the city...its easier to just put it on mix cd and let it go. And it looks awesome at night w/ the blue glow. plus, what it lacks in movie playing it makes up in sound quality, functionality, and non-skipping capability...to me, when you have to put a slide out tray in a cd player *cough*sony*cough* to keep it from skipping, you shouldnt be making CD players. Plus, the search feature kicks ***
