Help!!!

Hi, I dont know alot about car audio so please forgive me if my questions are stupid. Last week I replaced my old sony cd player with a new pioneer one. Well it got stolen last night. So, I figure I could just put the old cd player back in. However, I dont have the wiring that plugs into the back of the old cd player. Can I still use the old one??? Thanks for any help. ***I hope this makes some sense now***

When they stole your CD player did they just cut your wire harness?

Coming out of your car do you have a bunch of bare wires or is there still a plastic adapter that they are attached to?

Coming off of your old deck do you have a bunch of bare wires or is there still a plastic adapater that they are attached to?

I have the bare wires coming from the car. On the old deck I have no wires coming from it at all.

id say you are just about screwed then. w/o wires coming from the deck, you cant wire it up. you actually probably could, but i wouldnt suggest it for the sake of your life. the wires from the car are alright, it just may be a little more difficult to work with. as far as the deck, you pretty much have 2 choices: get a wiring harness, probably have to get it from the manufactorer or maybe a local dealer (not likely but possible), or get another head unit. good luck.

You could also check ebay for a Sony Wiring Harness, I would think that all the models within the same range have the same wiring harness...

As far as bare wires coming from your car, I would also check eBay for a GM wiring harness adapter... you'll actually need 1 female and 1 male PLUS the wiring harness for your HU to install the old deck..

for all the trouble and searching you might just want to head down to best buy and pick up their $99 kenwood this week... I believe its free install.
