I had a hi fonics 50x4, the thing was huge. I ran a cerwin component set on the front (with the gain turned way down) It souned awesome clarity wise.
In the back I had 2 orion 12's running bridged at 2ohms, it really pushed them, and I was impressed, no shut downs , no over heating.
I later sold the truck and kept the amp in the closet I hung onto it for a year while my friend tryed to pry it away. He ened up with it, ran the hell out of it for a year, and sold it to another friend, it's still performing to this day.
Next time I buy a retail amp you can bet it will be hi-fonics
p.s. I got the idea froma friend of mine who had a hi fonics amp from way back pushing 2 15's in his camaro (removed the back seat)
That thing wiggled my eye and made my guts churn hehe

I am looking at getting a Zeus ZX8000 five-channel amp. I'm glad to hear that everyone has had good luck with Hi Fonics. I have a friend with a 6' tall car stereo competition trophy who swears by Hi Fonics, so I figured it will be good enough for me.
The other good thing you might want to knwo is the friend of mine pushing two 15' fosgates with a hi fonics, it was old as dirt the amp was one of those that had fins all the way around it.
Instead of connectors it had hevy heavy gauge wire coming out for the speaker leads. I swear it looked like it was from the 70's I know they have been in business a long time, and that amp of his was still pushing great old as it was. SO even though they are not widely marketed or well known they have been in business for quite some time.
I want a 5 channel now. It's really nice to have the subs and components powered from one amp, less wires, and easier to tune all in one spot.
