dont waste money
I was a idiot last week and bought a amp and sub set from wallmart (fast and furious lightning audio one 10 inch and so called 450 watt amp) what a joke all we wanted to do was add a little bass to my wifes car. This is the worst you can get. Here is the response I sent to Lightning Audio.
(First off the box says max power 450? so with it bridged at 150 how would it peak to 450? I had a 200 watt LA amp at half gain hits harder than this thing. Also the 10 inch sub sucks all it does is distort and it doesnt sound good at all no matter what listening level you have it at. My 10 inch pioneer 400 IMPP pounds 10x harder than the crap I got rooked into buying and I got it on discount at walmart for 90 bucks and I still got ripped on this deal. I wouldnt recommend these products to my worst enemy. At least I know now not to trust anything that has 2 fast 2 furious (2 cheap) stamped on it.)
Hopefully this helps discourage anyone else in buying this crap.

I bought my pioneer sub from Wallmart and I love the thump it makes, but so far thats the only thing I've bought from them that was worth a damn.

yea the best things from walmart are the stereo harnesses and the installations kits theyre so cheap there.

if you aren't running a competition stereo or ie: expensive equipment the wiring should be fine.
with the high end units you get better plating, better protection from noise, more strands of actual wire to conduct, etc.
in most cases you pay for what you get but with all things there are limits and you should be realistic to what your doing. if your running a jensen head unit and some sears subs i wouldn't run out and spend $150 on a wiring kit when you can get something that will work at walmart for 15.

i highly recommend the wiring kits from walmart, as long as you use better interconnects. 4ga is 4ga. only thing strand count will do for you is make it more or less flexible. $25-30 is a great price for the 4ga alone, not to mention a fuse holder and a distribution block. besides that, stay away from their actually audio equipment (ie decks, subs, speakers).
