In my town Massive is getting to be pretty big, They have great sound quality at ok prices, If you want the good stuff its gonna cost you, but for the basics... I can get a very decent sub and great amp to power for under $600.
After asking lots of questions, and shopping around forever I think I'm gonna settle on the Massive RW10D

Just a single 10, only needs a little over 1 ft box. I was reccomended to get the PG X24300. But any amp that will power it I'll pick up.
I was told this 10" with that amp will hit roughly 135.
As for Mids, I wanted to stay with the 4x6 up front just because its so simple to install, Massive has this to offer:
Hard to see in the picture, but this speaker has a little cone over the tweeter that actually makes the sound come out at all angles, so ever angled at the front glass, u wont lose clarity.
I'm hoping to adapt a plate to fit a 6.5 where the 6x9 would be.
Run some new wires. And done. Also I was thinking of just keeping only the 4x6 up front and double up the 4x50 to each speaker so they have got both front and rear connectors on them.
So now that I'm done ranting, I think this setup will work awesome. Im not gonna be getting it until prob close to summer, But in the mean time, Ill prob pickup those 4x6 just to have some tunes.
Thanks for listening in fellas
P.S. Thanks for your help especially Boomin Boy
Almost forgot:

no problem man...thats what the boards are for
ive had a MA amp in the past and they're decent. Its fairly well known that they dont put out their huge rated wattages but they will still put out good power.
havent worked directly with their subs but from what i hear they're good entry level subs
hope to see ya in the comp lanes in the summer, i think theres gunna be a comp or two on the island this year

I dont really want a car for Comps, But I do like listening to bass, and if u can hear me from across the street, sounds good to me. I'm hoping with just that one 10" I can make it fit lower like this box:
Then make a panel that will go flush back, and cover it all up. Hiding everything, sub, amp. And everything.
This way I can store stuff right over top of it without having to take the subs out for a day or sumthin, and ill still retain my cargo space.
I'm 100% sure on this setup, this is what I'm aiming for

competing isnt necessarily about winning..you can just go to see what your car will hit, and see what ideas other people have for installsOriginally posted by Daishi

I'd feel weird being there, Every vehicle in town that has a good system is an import. Imports in my town have a HUGE grudge against any vehicle that may be faster. There is no respect at all, either you are with them, or ur fighting against them

Has anyone heard anything good about the Phoenix Gold amps????
This is the amp I was reccomended to get with that 10"
PG XS4300

i dont think its enough power for that sub...but it is 4 channel so you can run your speakers off of it too...i would suggest getting a bigger 4 channel that has enough power for your sub and speakers. Running this amp wont be that bad though, it just wont use the subs full potential i dont think. PG makes decent amps
Can you reccomend an amp that wont kill my bank, but can decently power that one 10?

If I do, I wont use the same amp for my speakers as the amp. So just an amp that will power the 10

well you could go with a JBL 300.1 for about $130 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=4950Originally posted by Daishi
