Newb question

I have been looking around at various places for a head unit to begin my neverending custom car quest. iI have been looking and the two best HU's for the value seems to be:
1) Panasonic CQ-C511OU
2) JVC KDG700

Does anyone have any opinions on these two HU's or have any experiences they would like to share with the class? Thanks.

jvc makes durable gear, but they are WEAK. panasonic stuff has never wowed me, either.

get into an entry level pioneer or kenwood, or if you dont need a whole bunch of features, an eclipse 3414 would be tough to beat.

Go with the Panasonic. They pump out pretty decent music. My choice would be the Panasonic Cq-8400. Its a really nice HU. Theyre at a good price on e-bay.
