Sub Size Question

Ok, I have 2 12" pioneer subs, and I am making a box for them, the hole I needed was 11"...does this one inch smaller than size thing hold true with other speaker brands and sizes? do all 12"s pretty much need 11" holes....also, do 10"s need 9" holes, and 8"s 7" holes?

This info will help me a ton, I'm trying to set up a site for speaker boxes....for a small price I will help others to not have to remake there box 2 or 3 times due to small miscalculations.

www.corecapacity.com/caraudio is the site if anyone wants to comment...I'm not really advertising because it's a long way from being to where I am ready to sell anything.

Also, if anyone else has anything audio they produce or sell, I would be happy to list it there for them also.

Generally that is the case, but it will vary depending on what basket the particular sub uses. This was a little easier a few years ago when there were only a handful of baskets used throughout the industry (you had the stamped steel one, or the 4-spoke cast aluminum one), but now in everybody's overwhelming desire to be "unique" and out-bling the next guy, nobody is using standard baskets anymore, so your guess is as good as anybody's whether a particular sub will fit a particular hole.

Then you factor in the non-round subs, and it just gets worse.
