Getting Radio To Fit
Hey everyone. Since I got my car one thing as really been bugging me. The last owner put a new cd player in and it doesnt fit at all in the spot it is supposed to. It sticks out to far and is too small for the entire space. The old owner shoved wood on the top and covered it in electrical tape to try to blend it in. It looks terrible. I took the wood out, now there is a big gap. Does anyone of you fine people know how or what i can do or where i can buy a peice that will help to bring it all together so it wont look like a pos? Thanks in advance.
Here is a picture where the wood( covered with electrical tape) is there.

go to the car electronics section of walmart and they sell installation kits for cd players. just read the boxes and make sure you get the right one. they make different ones for different cars and years

also theres a little metal piece behind there that would have to be taken out and I had to take out 2 vents back there too (the ones that go to the vents in front of the center console) to make my cd player fit right.

I don't remember if it's Metra or American International that makes it, but one (maybe both) of those companies makes a generic GM flush mount kit that will work if you remove the metal bar behind the radio on a Camaro. It looks better than the normal GM kit that still makes the radio stick out a foot.

Mike, I just noticed that you're in Rochester. Head over to the Stereo Shop on Jay Scutti. They should be able to help you out. Tell them Jim Irace says hi.
