Subs in sail panels?

I decided to get some really nice components in my kick panels so I thought about just running large 8" maybe 10" subs in my sail panels. I'm not looking to really hack up my car's sheet metal, and I'm not looking for huge pounding bass, but I'd like to feel it a bit more than with my 6x9". I have 150W per side available from my amp. I'm sure someone has done this or thought about it and realized its a bad idea. Any tips?

Look to JL W0 line, the 6W0 or the 8W0. 150W RMS is more then enough to power to give them some bump.

get ready for horrible-sounding rattles...

if a 6x9 rattles the crap out of a car, imagine what real subs will do.

good luck.

I'd look for some 8's, 150 watts is good for almost any 4 ohm 8 inch sub... All you have to do is pay special attention to any metal on metal contact.

I'd put some sort of fabric between every metal to metal piece I could find.

eh, it's harder than that, because the vibration will travel through the skin of the car, causing rattles of lots of plastic-on-plasic, as well as plastic-on-metal contacts.
