8"s in the back???
ok i typed up a big post and my computer crapped out on me.
shortened up, im on a bugdet, i listen to rock mostly, i dont need a lot of bass.
1. how do two 8" subs sound in the back of our cars?
2. is there enough room in the bottom ~half of my hatch (from the small ledge down) for a sealed box for 2 average 8 inch subs? (i'm referring to air space, i have no idea how much a sub needs)
i was wanting to do this setup. make the top of the box flush with those ledges, carpet the box to match interior. then weld me up a rack of sum sort to maybe bolt on the box, of have some sort of rack for when i need to store sumthin back there. if some one has pics of sumthing like this that would be even better.

i just saw the sticky up top for the first time with the dimensions. my idea would make the box (according to that):
7 7/8"H x 7 5/8"W x 22 1/2"L
7 7/8"H x 7 5/8"W x 22 1/2"L

I know it's been done and with bigger woofers (10's, not sure about 12's). You're looking at around .4 cubic feet per sub though.
You can find pictures in this thread. Look for orangetang's post on the second page for the first example.

thanks. that is one of the pics that got me this idea a few months back. but i couldnt find that thread again. actually that box is a little taller than i'd like mine to be. and some of the subs ive looked at would work with about 0.4 cubic feet. well thanks guys. ill keep updates if i decide to go this route.
