2-12" for under $400can/300US$

I have been out of the car audio game for like 7-8 years. Now I am looking for 2 affordable 12's but the prices I see are outragous, like $300 CAN per sub??? What sounds good at a reasonable price? I have an old Blade G5 I am going to run them with, it should do a reasonable 200 real watts to each sub. I prefer ported (boomy) sound but I have a vert so the space is really limited. Am I screwed or what. Just looking for some input from you young pups. The last set of subs I ran were 2-12" earthquakes. My brother still has one. Still sounds ok for boomy old school rap.
Any help is appreciated.

You'll never fit a box for 2 ported 12s in your convertable, but you can certainly fit 1. Subs have come a long way since you got out of audio. The excursion capabilities of newer subs is much greater than what it was... one sub can get very loud, but you need a lot of power. 200 watts isn't enough power anymore, because virtually all subs are of the high excursion, small box variety, which means dismal efficiency.

One of the best deals in subwoofers is the Dayton Reference Series from partsexpress.com. They aren't a "brand name" but it's an exceptionally well designed and well built subwoofer. This is a very clean, accurate sub. Perhaps not what you want if you want surging rap bass, but it's the answer for sound quality applications.

For "boomer" type applications, you have a million choices. Rockford, Kicker, and *** knows what else. Just remember that to really boom, you need power.
