What should i do??
How are power acoustik i have found some really nice sub with really nice magnets and they just really good but idk how good they are and i am try to get some ideas i have a 1988 camaro so tell me how you would set it up and tell me what you would put it in
They are not a very good brand. Your money would be better spent elsewhere. As for a stereo system setup, give me a budget you have and what are your stereo goals. Are you looking for a well rounded sound? are you wanting to impress the ladies? are you wanting a ticket every time you turn the volume to 4. Be honest on the goals portion. That will make you happy the quickest.

That's more than enough money to get yourself a great set of subs. JL, Diamond, Image Dynamics, Boston Acoustics, Adire, RE, Elemental Designs, Ascendant Audio and Dayton all have good stuff for under $150/each. If you want great sound and don't necessarily need gut-busting output, look at the Dayton Reference series. When I redo my Camaro, that's what I'll likely use.
I agree with Jim. I have also used Dayton speakers in making some house speakers. They are very good. You can get them from Parts Express. I still like Pioneer for the money.I have used them many times in a budget system and all have been happy. Again, the box will make or break any sub.
i got 2 12" jl w1v2s they are nice for the power and dont underestimate them by the looks. keep your eye one sale papers too.. i jsut missed out on a nice sale at best buy last week 4 12" infinitys (dual voice coil ones) for $260 (buy a set get a set free) if you did that you would have 2 extra subs if you ever needed them or jsut sell the other 2 and get some money back. also look for someone around you that sells kicker. nice products (all my friends use them) cheap and they pound. but i susgest staying away from the square solo barics they tend to crack the cones and distort
