Quick Questions

I own a 92 RS and I was wondering how to find and replace the front speakers, door speakers and the sail panel speakers. Also this is a little off topic but difficult would it be to remove the power window motors and replace them (unless they're serviceable) both sides are fried.

Any help would be appericiated!

You most likely don't have door speakers, I don't think any Thirdgen came stock with door speakers. You most likely have 4x6s under the dash pad and 6x9s in the B-pilars. Neither finding them nor replacing them is hard. To do the fronts just take off the dash pad (4 screws in the defrost vents, don't drop them or they are pretty much gone) and then about 10 screws on the underside of the pad along the edge towards you. Take off the pad and you'll see both front speakers.

For the rears there is a single screw holding the cover on, it doubles as the screw to hold the coat hanger in place. Remove that long screw and then push up a little on the cloth cover then toward you and it will slide right out. The 6x9 is then right there, 4 7mm (iirc) headed screws holding them in,

Removing the power window motors isn't overly hard, but it does involve drilling out rivits and making sure you don't slice your finger off.

Thanks for the advice. Is there room for some speakers in the doors, figure while I've got the door apart for window service I might as well put some high quality component speakers where ever I can, just not in excess because I'd like to go back as close to stock as possible with the appearance (for now anyways) on the interior and exterior.

Not with power windows without rather large door pods. Take a look at a set of Kick Panels if you want a great place to put some component speakers.

I agree with AmorgetRS. If you want door speakers you should look at finding shallow speakers to ensure the door pods do not stick out too far. It would mean being careful when you enter/exit the car or you will end up rubbing the pod with your foot all the time and the pod will end up getting ripped/scratched. Q-logic makes ready formed kick panels with preformed access for the hood latch. There are some used ones for sale on this site in the classified section. I believe the seller wants $ 30.00. Kick panels are the way to go. Remember the door is heavy enough without adding more weight. Good Luck
