mix and match subs

i have a w3 sub just ordered a box dual 12" 1.3c ft. sealed box would it be smart to go with a w6 and a w3 cuz people say mix and match is bad but would it be with them 2 subs? or would it just be best for 1 w6 or 2 w3's?
