I curently have 2 kicker cvr12's running off of a 600w 4 channel sony amp with my 6x9s on the same amp, well yesterday I found a brand new kicker kx1200.1 monoblock on ebay for $300 shipped so I picked it up. I plan on leaving the sony for my 6x9s and putting the kicker on my subs. I was wondering if my battery will survive? and if the amp will be too big for the subs?
Thanks for the help guys

stock charging system i assume? i have a 1000 watts going now but if i crank it everything dims and the voltage goes down way to much.. you might want to do the Big 3 and see what happens. Then if you still have significent voltage drop i suggest you look at HO alts. And whatever you do please dont put a capacitor on it. No matter what anyone tells you please dont put a cap on it.
Big 3?

basically its changing the 1)pos. wire from the alt to the pos batt. 2)battery negative to chassis 3)engine ground to chassis... your changing all these wires to a bigger gauge, im not sure what ours is now but you should change it to 0 gauge and that will help a lot

yeah a 1200 will probably put out around 1400.. there underrated.. set the gains low so you dont blow them
