low volume???
i have 91RS. it has stock sound system. the prob is i get low volume in driver side front speaker and low vol in passenger side speaker. what could be the reason for this.
where is the stock amp located in the car
If i plug in 450 watts speakers to stock wiring and headunit will they work or some thing might blow up

Installing a 450 watt speaker/subs isn't as easy as just plugging it in
takes a little more effort then you think. (amp, bigger gauge wiring [big 3], fuses, bigger alt if you go for a big amp, better battery)Oh and there is no Stock amp the speakers are powered off your head unit/radio whichever one you got.

Re: low volume???
thx for replying, i checked the speakers by testing them in other car their working fine, and tested by putting other speakers in my car same prob. i think there is some prob in headunit, my friend told me that some IC is gone do u know which IC is responsible for this.
Re: low volume???
no offense, but maybe you should take it to someone else if you aren't sure about a "stock" amp, and how well higher wattage speakers should go in. if you're really set on doing it yourself, then what's your budget? putting high wattage speakers isn't suggested, but you could get by with an aftermarket headunit. It wouldn't sound good though (it'd be like 10watts rms on a 2-100watts rms speaker. Bad to say the least).
also, check your balance settings like hellsatan suggested. seems like a lot of work swapping speakers when it could just be a setting.

Re: low volume???
Either your speakers are blown or your fade/balance (cant remember which one it is) is messed up on your Head unit.
