Need some help here
Hey guys a guy at works has a box and the sub that he will sell me for 100 bucks if everything works out. Well he said buy like a 600 watt amp and i should be good to go probly. I dont think my speakers are going to handel it. My front ones are 140 watts it says on the box they are sony. then my back might handel it the are rated at 270 watts do i need new speakers? Then i have a pioner head unit got it about a year ago is that ok?

usually you just run the subwoofer off of the amp and all of the other speakers off the head unit what kind of speaker is it and how many watts?

Poor head units having to be pushed like the child labor that made them.
Seriously save the cash and get a 4ch amp and run your interior speakers off that and you will be ALOT happier. A head unit will at most put out 20watts rms and high volumes will cause distortion and overheating the internal amp that eventually leads to failure. A sub will be nice and always shows results but once you have a sub everything else will sound a little worse. Or just get a 6ch amp and be done with it but thats like 200$ and well worth the convienence and less wiring unless your like me and like to make a mess out of wiring just to make it pretty.

Ya not sure what you guys are talkin about but i'll talk to some people about what u guys said. Could u guys mabey show me wat to buy?
