Anyone know what the Q-form kickpanels are made of?
I was thinking abs plastic, but if I remember correctly my the q-forms on my S-10 looked different than abs, not sure.
I wanted to play with vacuum forming to make some door pods and wanted to get a good durable plastic to work with....abs plastic gets expensive so I was curious what the q-logic kicks were made of.
Thanks

almost guaranteed they're either an ABS or AB+PC blend. They're injection molded so they'd be one of those. Vacuum formed pieces would work but your stock thickness on the sheet would have to be SO thick in order to get any sort of stability to it I don't know that thickness even could be formed. What about using a thin sheet to vacuum form then overlaying some fiberglass to build it up and give it more regidity.

Not sure, I can do fiberglass and have been looking at this webpage where a guy made his own vacum table to make stormtrooper parts.

It got me to thinking that if I made a mold, I could pop out some decent audio panels.
I have a 82 corvette and wouldn't mind making some 68-82 Q-form style kickpanels. If I had a mold handy I could pop out some to sell pretty quick.
Again, it's just an idea I'm kicking around...
